This site is a tribute to '70 & 80' guitars, mainly MIJ and Matsumoku productions.
Having owned many of them in the past years, I had the chance to verify the outstanding quality of these instruments, whatever it was the model.
These pages contain pictures and movies of some of the guitars I own and owned, with the aim to provide details for Matsumoku collectors and enthusiasts.
Some years ago, before the collection started, I'd have appreciated such kind of information for each single model; I hope you will enjoy it.
As you will see, my main Matsumoku brand is Aria Pro II.
Probably this is one of the largest collections of this brand.
I'm pretty convinced that Aria, within the other brands Matsumoku produced, has one of the best quality, price and especially design.
Even if based on some of the most famous brands' shapes of those years (75 to 87 for the electrics), all the Aria models have a distinctive character, never looking just pieces of wood.
