This is the Holy Grail of the Aria Pro II and Matsumoku production and, of course, of my collection.
Very rare guitar, it is told that only 150 were produced for the 25th Anniversary of Aria (1956-1981).
Actually, I'm guessing a lot more were built even if in a limited production.
The pickups are the MMK-75 (Classic Power), like in all models starting from the PE-R80.
It is just beautiful and the most regal of all the Aria Pro line.
This in particular has an even rarer two pieces body, not only the top but also the back.
The building details are great, like the extremely worked out carved body, two different mother of pearl types of inlay, triple binding, ebony fretboard etc.
The sound is great and with a wide range, distinctive of all the PE-R series.
The flamed top provides for top level elegance.
Here is the comparison with the PE-R80.
And this is with the PE-R100
All together now!
