This is a great RS transition model example.
It is a RS-750D N (N for Natural finish).
Rare beacase not many of these were built until the well known RS-X series was finally out, the year after.
All the beauties of the RS models are here.
Initially, as the original pickups were missing in this axe, I mounted the MMK-45 I had laying around, which allows for a great guitar sound.
the versatility of the MMK-45 pickups met the wood quality, endless sustain, eccellent playability and distinguishing shape of an RS guitar.
Lately, I refit the original pickups (DiMarzio Dual Sound) to restore the original sound: powerful and mellow, yet defined, endless sustain; that to be added to the eccellent playability and distinguishing shape of an RS guitar.
The hardware on this particular model was hand-worked by myself from raw brass.
Here is a side-by-side with the RS-X80 sister.
